- Forest Lake is the closest of my service towns to MSP Airport: about 39 miles, roughly 40 minutes without traffic.
- Winter break starts December 24, 2026 for Forest Lake schools, a day later than nearby districts, which I factor into flight-friendly travel days.
- Spring break March 8 to 12 is a popular week across the north metro, so I suggest booking six to nine months out.
